Price Opinions
Because I am in more homes on an annual basis than pretty much any working real estate agent in the Twin Cities, I pride myself on accurately pricing listings. But because pricing is of such critical importance, I often take advantage of the fact that I am a part of one of the largest and most successful offices in town. Because "several" heads are often better than just one, and because I am surrounded by several other good agents, often when a seller would like price opinions from a group of agents I am happy to oblige by hosting a "price opinion" open house, with a small group of hand-picked colleagues. To entice the agents to give us their most honest feedback, we typically sponsor a little give-away where the agent who guesses closest to the final sale price will win a gift card to a favored establishment such as a coffee shop or restaurant. (We also employ this tactic at times, when the seller requests it, at regular broker open houses, with agents from various brokerages represented.)
